For those who dont know, it is said that non-leather sock must meet three conditions in order for it to be permissible to do masah on:
1) It must be thick enough as to not absorb/retain water when poured on it
2) It must be able to stand upright on its own
3) You must be able to walk at least a mile in it without it tearing.
Where did these three conditions come from, are there any Ahadeeth pertaining to these three conditions?
The Ahadeeth just say that the Prophet(pbuh) wiped over socks, or leather socks. It never said they have to be thick or thin or anything.
