Assalamu Alaikum
I recently heard a Sufi Sheikh say that on the Day of Judgement the Awlia and the Shuyukh and the Prophet (pbuh) will give the people of tareeqa or the believers their good deeds as intercession.
Although obviously we know that the Prophet (saws) interceeds for the Muslims and Allah will give certain other people the ability to interceed on that day, is the Sheikh's statement above (that they will give away their good deeds) based upon anything in the Quran or Hadeeth?
or is it more likely from some sort of Kashfi intuition (right or wrong)?
If this belief is not from the Quran or Hadeeth what is the possible status of someone who holds it?
I need to know these things because I have been considering following this Sheikh.
