Following the Shaafi Madhab

I am thinking about following the Shaafi madhab inshAllah.

I would like to follow the hanafi madhab but as my wife and most of the somali community are salafi, I've taken into consideration the advice of people on the forum and am going to follow a madhab that will be easiest to follow in my community and marriage inshAllah.

I was just wondering what books, resources and scholars are available in the UK?

I have a shaafi book reliance of the traveller (Nuh Ha mim keller), can I start right away by implementing the rulings in this book to the way I practise my ibaadah?

Also is it possible to study other madhahib and practise them when amongst that community? e.g. could I practise hanafi fiqh if I went out with the tablighees or was praying in a hanafi masjid?

InshAllah the shaafi resources are very important so please do tell me all the national and local and international scholars of hanbali fiqh, any websites with audios etc, books I can buy (and bookshops that stock them), and youtube and online documents etc inshAllah.

Who are the worlds biggest shaafi scholars, are there videos online, please a comprensive list of resources, places to study, lectures. scholars etc is needed.
