An Islamic Project: Commentary of the Bible

This is a project I have been working on to establish a Commentary of the Bible with an Islamic perspective. I know it may sound wrong to some (probably outright wrong), others it may be useful for daw'ah, but take for example how the word Yahweh comes from Havah, and how it can mean 'to be', hence the first chapter of Genesis, Elohim (translated to Allah in Arabic) is in fact saying 'Be' for the creation process (eg. Elohim says Be! Light be Light!), which in Chapter 2 we find the word Yahweh being used for the first time as it comes in full circle.

I don't have the intention to bash the book, I don't believe the Prophet (s.a.w) ever did so who am I to do so (in fact he placed the current Torah on top of pillows as a sign of respect, -Abu Dawud)? Unlike so-called commentaries or translations from Kafirs of the Qur'an, I don't plan to bash it like they do.

There are so many things we find that are interesting, for example most are aware of the idea that "God rested", which is incorrect as the Qur'an refutes this idea that Allah tires (astagfirullah) rather the word used for "rested" means "ceased" and the Septuagint Text confirms this.

It is the belief of Islamic scholarship in the past that the current Torah is both misinterpreted and filled with additions.

My first commentary will be on the Book of Genesis and I plan to release it as a single book (like other books), if Allah wills, first.

The primary readers are for the People of the Book, but Muslims as well who want to use it as a reference and not a book of guidance, as we take it from Ibn Abbas (r.a.) that since the Qur'an abrogates all previous scriptures, it is enough for us.

All I ask is for your dua in making this a quest of mine, a success in completion and with accuracy.

Here is an example from Genesis 1 in the next post, I have yet to make a preface explaining the origins of the compilation of the text such as using an example of the Documentary Hypothesis (This is a Draft, not final, there may be more comments)
